"The Gnathological Treatment" is a speciality within dentistry. The dentist
examines the occlusion of upper and lower jaws, that is, the fitting
of the upper and lower teeth against each other and how the joints
and muscles of the jaws are functioning.
A poor occlusion can cause
many health problems, such as headaches, facial pain, insomnia etc.
Usually the patient does not realize they have this condition and
also the dentist is often unable to discover a faulty occlusion
by way of a regular examination.
The Gnathological Treatment
allows the dentist to measure the relationship of the jaws with
special devices and treat the patient accordingly.
